Does McAfee VirusScan Enterprise V8.8 Patch 7 play nice with virtual servers?

Hope someone can answer my question.

 

Recently moved to hyper-v server from single server setup and now have some virtual 2012r2 servers running on the host. Our LA have sent me a licence for McAfee VirusScan Enterprise V8.8 Patch 7 to install on our server but they only support single server primary schools and can't comment on hyper-v virtual server setup.

 

I did a search on the McAfee forums for issues with virtual servers and did find some relating to Patch 4 or 5 of the software but have found nothing for patch 7 which is the version I have been sent.

 

Does anyone have this running on a hyper-V server? More specifically do you have it running on the virtualized server itself? as this was where the issue was with patch 4 or 5 and not with the host.
