Pear Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I've been asked to find out if my school gets a budget for NGFL and Curriculum Online next year... and I have no idea who I am supposed to find that out from, my school is in Preston, Lancashire. Would I have to call someone or is there a general amount ? Could someone also explain what they are, like how is the curriculum online money supposed to be spent.
Geoff Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 dos_box is the person to ask about this. Your best taking Lancs specific questions like this to the LancsNGFL forums though. http://www.lancsngfl.ac.uk/forums/dg/
steve Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 The NGFL (Grant 31a) funding ends this year. ICT funding has to be taken from the new Schools Development Grant and the Devolved Formula Capital. So it will be down to the school exactly how much they put into ICT from now on. elc's will continue at about £1000 per school plus about £10 per pupil (not sixth form) This money must be spent on curriculum online approved software. http://www.curriculumonline.gov.uk/Default.htm be warned, their website is worse than bectas http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/consumption/groups/public/documents/committee_report/chilserv210905item9pdf.pdf

With regards to Curriculum online money most software suppliers state whether the software can be bought using COL money. Look for the COL logo which is the attachment
