Afternoon all,

Have any, or many of you had much success with 3rd party lightning cables?

I have a primary school that seem to be going through poundshop ones at a rate of knots. The cables are either completely dying, or coming up with the error relating to 'unsupported accessory'.

Any recommendations?

Cheers

Look for "MFI certified" cables. They tend to work the best although come with a slightly bigger price tag. MFI certified cables will get rid of the unsupported accessory warning and tend to be more reliable.

We get the unbranded ones from Hills Components, and touch wood haven't had any problems so far, have had about 30 in use for around 3 months now with none coming back to me.

In other words how to start a fire in your school.......cheap Chinese made cables will come back and bite you

Great stuff. Thanks for the responses. I'll see what I can find out there. I'm particularly interested in the MFI Certified cables too.
