Windows gives me a BSOD and then reboots every time I boot!

I have recently noticed a problem with one of my school's PC's and so have reimaged it, however every time it boots after the reimage it displays the "Setup is preparing your computer for first use" message with the coloured bar and then Blue screens and reboots, and then it does this in a constant loop. Any help guys?

Boot it in safe mode and check the logs for errors. Sounds like a driver to me.

or possibly a hardware issue. Hard drive or RAM?

Thanks but it wont let me boot in safe mode because it says it cannot complete installation in safe mode

Swap the hard drive and see if you can image it then. If it still fails try different RAM.

And I have replaced the Hard drive and reseated the RAM. My next step will be to bring in another of the PC's and test their RAM in it.

Do you mean OS? If so it is windows 7 enterprise x64

I'd try it out with another image if you have one. Still sounds like a cacky driver to me. Windows deploy does sometimes do this.

 

If you havent got another image, it might be an idea to turn of any non necessary stuff off in the BIOS - USB etc etc - then try it.

 

That might narrow it down to a problem device(s)

I think at this point id just grab a vanilla dvd and try an install from that

Yes I was considering a clean install from disc. I will try it now. Thank you. I will update the thread of this doesnt work.
