Individual Report - Teacher Missing

Hi all

 

We have recently gone live with SIMS (not even one month yet) and we have an issue with an individual report.

I have asked CAPITA for support and they have been great but unfortunately as a school we are blocking their remote access somehow so they cannot get onto my machine to help me and we have parents evening tomorrow.

 

We have set up the report in the word template area (in individual report) and all is good, however some teachers are missing.

 

Taking one teacher (new member of staff) as an example, the marksheet does show up as his...BUT I have gone into course manager and a different teacher is linked with the class.

 

I can only think this somehow relates to a change that I made in Nova recently. I added another maths set to the model and then swapped the teachers around in classes (after adding this new member of staff) His timetable is fine and he doesn't share the class with anyone else. Can you help me understand what I am missing. All the other teachers in his subject come out fine so it isn't a problem with the merge field

there is a tick box for "auto update class supervisors from chosen course supervisors".

 

is it ticked?

Sorry just to add

Now I think about it the teacher showing up as attached to the class is the head of department that I added in course manager. OR he was the person who had the class before..................I cant tell

[TD=align: left]The reason why no class teacher appears for the tag is because there is no main class teacher associated to the class for that course.

They are the class teacher and not the main class teacher.

Please assign the main class teacher using Nova and export the changes back to SIMS.

 

To ensure a user has been correctly assigned as a Main Class Teacher, please go to Focus | Person | Staff and then open their Staff Groups Link on the left hand side of the screen. If they're not showing as the Main Class Teacher of the class in there, then they haven't been assigned correctly.

oh and my follow up post if I hadn't wandered off was that I think it should be unticked (at least it is for us).

You may well be right as it still doesn't work for me folling just the above

Ill let you know if the unticking is the thing that makes it all fall into place
