FN-GM Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Hello, I purchased a OnePlus 2 for a member of staffs work phone. I was really impressed with it, but didn't have it long enough to test drive it. I used to have a S4 Mini from an iPhone 4 and I hated the OS it and went back to iPhone 6. But I liked the near stock Andriod 5.1.1 and with version 6 coming soon. Does anyone have a OnePlus 2? what is it like please? Thanks
rrrrr Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Friend has one, he is very pleased with it except smashing the screen within one week of having it. Think it was quite hard and expensive to get repaired. Im personally not an android fan though.
MrKJLS Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 I've got a OnePlus 2, it's been an ace phone. It reboots itself every once and a while. But I can't fault the phone. The battery life has been good so far (even with a smart watch connected via Bluetooth). One thing I did have to do is disable the MaxxAudio as it gave me headaches. But I guess that's a personal preference thing. I've had the phone for about 7 months now You can upgrade the phone to Android 6 (beta firmware) from the following URL: OnePlus 2 OxygenOS 3.0 Beta | Downloads - OnePlus.net

Best I'd had before was a Gen 1 Moto G and it's a different league to that. To be aware of: it's huge. I can just about manage one-handed, but I have big hands and struggle. It seems very responsive and powerful and the OS has much less junk than the Galaxy S4 that my son has. If I was currently in the market, I'd also look seriously at the Nexus 5X - you seem to be able to pick them up for <£200 now. They weren't available when I bought my Oneplus 2. You can upgrade the phone to Android 6 (beta firmware) from the following URL: OnePlus 2 OxygenOS 3.0 Beta | Downloads - OnePlus.net How's that going for you? I've resisted so far, but fancy some of the new features (fingerprint integration for a start). 1

bossman Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 @FN-GM Had mine since they came out last July, extremely pleased with it especially after the latest upgrade to Android 6.0.1, its very responsive, does everything I require and more, its a large phone compared to some of the others but the screen display is excellent and the look and feel is of high quality. I find for the price coupled with a Sim only contract means I am saving £30 per month over the last contracted phone I had, great value for the money I would say go for it bud
Arreks Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 (edited) It's been going good so far, haven't really had any issues with it yet. Didn't know that beta was out, time to flash! *edit* Nevermind that broke my TWRP and it's kinda slow/hangs around on the boot screen a lot so I'll revert lol. Edited May 9, 2016 by Arreks 1
FN-GM Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 Thanks chaps. I might wait until the OnePlus 3, unless I break my current phone (touch wood!)
Arreks Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Yeah personally I'd wait for the OnePlus 3 if it was me! OnePlus 2 is awesome but there's no use getting one without knowing what the next model will be like. (I fixed my Android 6 upgrade, rushed it the first time and forgot to flash a compatible SuperSU and recovery)

I saw that earlier, downloaded the zip from the OnePlus Forum instead of waiting for the OTA: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oxygen-os-3-0-2-official-ota-zip-link.448561/ Edited June 5, 2016 by MrKJLS Grammerz
