Training questions...

Hi.

I would like to do an MSCE.

And in light of our LEA not doing MSCE cources, it looks like im gonna have to source somewhere myself. .

 

As i understand it, i have two options:

- Train off site then take exam.

- Train onsite then take exam.

 

My question is, where do i get information on these two options?

As the place i have looked at, LearningTree, seems extremely expensive.

I train off site from home. and then take the exams. If you get stuck pop a question on here and some one will have a good answer and will even go the extra mile by providing more info

 

Don't go with thouse trining companies.. expensive and support can be rubbish.

There the once ive seen, but i was wondering if there were more than Lancaster University that did them.

 

Plus, its a little confusing what cources/books/whatnot i need for a MSCE, what with all these number based code words that are thrown around! .

Right, after some googling, for a MSCE, its basically:

 

6 core units.

1 elective.

 

Correct?

And those 7 units can be chosen by myself i asume?

No because they are core ones so they are dictated what you have to do.

If you want to do self study then sign up for a cbt course or buy the books, learn and then book and take your exam with microsofts exam partners.

My LEA were helpful for once.

The refered me to a company called RareIT, who refered me to QAIQ, who gave me all the info i need.

Basically £630 for the exams plus the cost of the books....
