DJ-1701 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 ONE WEEK Getting all those pre-signed books ready in the boot of your car? 1
sonofsanta Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Run out of books! Given them all away to family now. I'll bring a Sharpie to sign people instead. Excitement aside, an actual question: is lunch provided or should we bring pennies for the café? 2

If you've been to one of our confs before you'll know we look after you 2
DJ-1701 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 ...I'll bring a Sharpie to sign people instead... I would ask if you could sign @Boredguy for me... but unfortunately he will be working all week. Just be sure not to sign the bottom of any blank pieces of paper. I'm a looking forward this, and meeting you all which is quite interesting for someone that would describe themselves as shy and a socially awkward penguin.
Boredguy Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Concerned now... It's ok, just feed @DJ-1701 some fish and he's fine.
DJ-1701 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Concerned now... The socially awkward part or the penguin part? I think there are a lot of people like that though, we do come out of our shell.
RichCowell Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 The socially awkward part or the penguin part? I think there are a lot of people like that though, we do come out of our shell. No, just the penguin part really... after the last EDIT... 1
DJ-1701 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 No, just the penguin part really... after the last EDIT... Captain? Can anyone explain, this sounds interesting.
RichCowell Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Captain? Can anyone explain, this sounds interesting. I'll tell you on Tuesday... not that interesting really lol 1
Dos_Box Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 GEEKY T-SHIRTS!! I'd almost forgotten! If you are joining us on either Wednesday (in the pub) or Thursday for the meal we have a little tradition when EduGeek people get together that you should wear a geeky t-shirt or top. So, if you have one please feel free to wear it 1

elsiegee40 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 One place up for grabs! You will probably have to join the waiting list and then I can release it to you... as EventBrite doesn't seem to let me just free it. One week to go! timbo343 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Ill be wearing my ANME top for the conference and my spiceworks BYOD top i won. I also managed to get a Ruckus Polo at BETT but its a bit on the large side.
DJ-1701 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Ill be wearing my ANME top for the conference... Why do I keep reading that as 'Anime' at the moment?

timbo343 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Perfect. There's no dress code. Jeans and a T shirt are fine What happened to the fancy dress option?
elsiegee40 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 What happened to the fancy dress option? Mandatory for anyone you perceive to be gullible enough
elsiegee40 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) So apart from about half a dozen people for whom I could not discern their geographical origin, I plotted the delegates' locations and this is where we're travelling from There's still one place going free - join the waiting list here and I will release it to you https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/edugeek-edit-2016-national-space-centre-leicester-registration-22021561082 Edited May 26, 2016 by elsiegee40 2
