Shares appearing and disappearing

Hi All,

 

I'm having problems with one of our shared folders on a Mixed windows Server 2008R2/2012R2 domain. The share appears and disappears during the course of the day, has anyone else come across this and know how to fix/troubleshoot this problem?

Could be many things that cause this.

 

What method do you use to connect to the shared drives? Does it affect all users, some, or is there a pattern of user affected? Time of day, is it random, or a ceratin times? Have you checked logs on server and client station, this may give better idea of problem. If GPO assigned, have you checked GPResult etc? Do you have any DNS issues, master browser issues can cause this also. Did the problem arise after a server restart for example.
