Interesting about the part where they say they will allow you to host your own servers. Certainly something to keep an eye on.

Aside from the software, it kinda gets me that open source projects like this always seem to go after corporate names... how about come up with something original instead of blatantly ripping off someone's trademark?

More interesting is that this appears to be based on code from eyeOS, which has been around for a few years.

 

Then they got bought out by Telefonica and the open source license was replaced by a proprietary one.

 

So I'm having problems believing the "100% Open Source" tagline.
