Techdw Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Hi All, All my PCs are on a scope 10.20.0.10 - 10.20.7.254 but when looking in DHCP today the end IP for 10.20.0 vlan is 10.20.0.254 and the next one given is 10.20.4.1 so 10.20.2 and 10.20.3 are not being used and i have no exclustions. Any one any idea why? Thanks,
ITGURU Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Only have 2 DC's on site. You can have a DHCP server that isn't a DC
Techdw Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 Yes, DHCP is only on the DC's. Built the network from scratch last year.
twin--turbo Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 A flat subnet encompassing 10.20.0.10 - 10.20.7.254 if so ( Holly S....) Or do you have individual 10.20.x.x/24 subnets?? with Vlans? TT
Techdw Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 individual 10.20.x.x/24 subnets with Vlans.
twin--turbo Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 so PC's on the vlan served by 10.20.2.x and 10.20.3.x are not receiving any IP's TT
Techdw Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 Vlan the PCs are on is Called 'Vlan 20' Scope - 10.20.0.10 - 10.20.7.254 It will issue Ips out 10.20.0.254 10.20.4.254 but it has skipped 10.20.2.0-254 and 10.20.3.0-254
twin--turbo Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Not sure why you have the specific issue without being able to review the full DHCP config But if that truly is your client subnet then it's horribly large. I never stray past a /24 even using thin terminals. TT
