Sigh... World of Warcraft... anyone play?

Provided I can beat my PB by Legion's launch... I should be maining a rogue. However I've made a list of goals to hit around Legion.

Beat my PB 1-100

Within the first week of Legion, achieve level 110 and full PvP gear.

By the first week of competitive PvP coming out (and the conquest cap to go with that) push for AT LEAST 1750 in either 3v3 or RBGs.

Second week, 2000+ (preferably 2200)

Make your character on Dragonblight dammit. :p

I'm aiming to take it easy, enjoy the single player content then gear myself up in dungeons. Eventually move on to casual raids depending how Survival is received. :)

Dragonblight is dead, move to Outland (Alliance-EU) and join me. ;) As long as you don't mind being ganked by hordies... but then again, with 3 separate accounts each with fully geared level 100 rogues on... I normally counter gank and with multiple stabbies at the same time.

I've heard that survival is one of the worst melee specs in Legion at the moment which sucks because my hunter used to be Surv before i quit. I'm probably going to be maining either my Warlock or my Mage. Huge Crits Boiz.

Is this based on pre-patch or actually at level 110? Because pre-patch I am finding that it does pretty well in LFR and Heroics.

Oh and I started playing with Steel Trap yesterday. Not sure how effective it is but it makes a very satisfying sound. :p

Level 110 on beta at the moment. Personal preference obviously but i've heard and seen that it's kinda a mismatch of other classes abilities put into one spec.

for some information (NSFW language)

Preach is wildly informative and very funny. Would recommend.

Seen that video, it's from the beta back in June. My biggest concern is hearing the words "We need you as ranged DPS" but time will tell. I might not even have Internet in the coming weeks anyway!

With the addition of demon hunters there is more competition for melee spots in raids than ever. So yes, I think your concern is valid and it will be an issue for survival hunters. But it's not a new problem, enhance shamans and feral druids have been juggling the same problem for years (with the added fun bonus of juggling multiple gear sets).

Currently have a 100 of every class, and trying to beat my PB for 1-100, Current 80 with 30hours play time (about 2hours of that is running around Org getting pamflets!)

Really can't wait for Legion to drop and have just finished leveling a Priest to 100 in preparation for it. The new Disc Priest looks like a lot of fun while Shadow is topping DPS charts at the moment (although you can't base anything off Beta numbers...Blizz are changing it constantly)

The new mechanics for Shadow Priest are super cool. One of my favourite class revamps.

I really like the demonology warlock artefact weapon too. Who doesn't want a talking skull that takes the mick out of everything? :)

My only disappointments in beta is that demon hunter dps is a very bland and easy spec. Hardly what a 'hero' class is supposed to be IMHO. I need to try tanking though, maybe that'll be better. I also find the World Quest system a bit grindy. I'm not sure if it'll burn me out. Especially if I try to do 4 world quests on 12 alts a day!

Couldn't agree more regarding the Demon Hunter - if/when I roll a DH, I'll be tanking with it I reckon. DPS just doesn't seem too fun.

For the most part, they've done a great job with the artifacts. I'm now interested to see what penalties there are (if any) for respeccing and transferring Artifact Power into a different Artifact (I'll be switching between Shadow and Disc a fair bit I imagine)

IIRC, your second alt spec artifact weapon gains AP at about 80% of the primary one.. either Preach or Bellular on Youtube covered it, can't remember which!

Think I recall seeing it on Preach's channel now you mention it. Of course, it's all open to change but if that is the case then I can deal with that

I'll check on beta tonight, as I said I want to try tanking with my DH. I know for a fact I've spent 0 AP on the tanking war glaives.

The opening scenario is pretty cool. There were Horde players in there? Also fighting at the rear gates of Orgrimmar! :D

Now the Alliance thirsts for vengeance....

Artifact power is per spec. Although there's a definate uptick in AP requirements post rank 13. I think that's the sweet spot to swap out your specs and concentrate on your secondary.

I mained a Blood Elf Holydin back in the day. Played on him last night and I really like the changes to the class. A lot more mobility during fights which adds a bit of (welcome) complexity

This is correct. The numbers show that it takes the same amount of AP to level your artifact from 1-13 as it does to level it from 13-14.

I'll be levelling my main spec up to 13, then my off-spec to the same...only then will I start the grind up to 14 on my main
