I need to delete a folder from users PC's that a program creates but the folder has sub folders that are not empty. Anyone got a good way using vbs to do this. Had a Google around and not found one I can get to work yet. This is the root folder "C:\Program Files\DEECD\data" and it had a sub folder with sub folders and a couple of files.

This method from @Iain no good? http://www.edugeek.net/forums/scripts/14570-help-needed-vb-script-delete-folder-all-files.html#post146944

Otherwise, get in touch with Marco Marsala - I've heard he has a way with deleting stuff.

Got a batch file which should do this for you:

Just paste this into notepad and save as .bat extension with the all files drop down,

RD /S /Q "Your folder Path"

Use this as a script as part of the top level GPO shutdown script to delete off all computers,

Tested today actually :)

P.S. This will also delete the Parent directory of the named folder path

So you would have RD /S /Q "C:\Program Files\DEECD"

This will delete the said folder DEECD and all the contents.
