How to block Chrome extensions

Hello,

 

We have students installing Chrome extensions (games etc) on macbooks.

Has anyone come up with a way of stopping this

I can't remember the exact address, but in my previous school I was able to block the installation of extensions by blocking the address of the google chrome store through our Internet filtering. Worked like a charm.

You can also block Google Chrome Extensions/webstore in group policy as well

After the joy considering we'd just block chromestore on the kids subnet I then gave myself a slap as I realized that we have chromebooks, hundreds of stupid pissin chromebooks.

 

I am going to give MrKJLS's plist idea a whirl today and report back.
