HP Elite 8200 USDT PXE Boot

Has anyone had any issues with PXE booting with the HP Elite 8200 USDT ? I'm getting a E53 error - I'm only getting the error on this one machine. The environment is fine and I can pxe boot fine from other machines.

It's got an Intel 82579LM NIC, which I've added to the boot images to no avail

What are you using for pxe?

WDS / MDT, I'd try another NIC but there is no way to install another in these machines

I tried that, put it on the latest, I was going to try to update the Intel boot agent too, but seems like I can't as it's onboard. I'll do some testing on the NIC to see if it's not faulty later

Could put windows from a DVD on temporally. Just to check dhcp and a tftp client.

That's what I'll probably do next (Haven't had to do one of those in a long while!)

I seem to recall downgrading a BIOS setting from ACHI to IDE only for during the build for this exact model

 

It's not UEFI is it?

Have you updated the boot image in WDS?

 

We have some Lenovo laptops that I had to create a separate boot image for as they kept crashing on PXE otherwise.

 

Try just adding the NIC driver for the HP into a separate boot image and then boot from that.

 

Also, have you got the correct driver?
