liveman2 Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) CryptoClient - A front end for the GNUPG framework. Hi All, I have created a small piece of software which can encrypt and decrypt email attachments (GPG files). It is something that I am thinking of releasing, for free (we all like free software). This could solve some people data protection issues etc and the task of setting up a full-blown encryption system. It could also be distributed to staff etc for BYOD with certificates manually loaded (I would provide full instructions). What are initial thoughts? Roberto Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Honestly, I think it looks like a good piece of work, but if this is aimed at end users, I think it will run aground on the rocks of human nature: users simply don't understand crypto and the vast majority of them don't want to take the time to learn. If it can't be handled either automatically with no input by them at all (or at most, one tickbox in Outlook) then they won't understand it and won't use it... nothing you've done wrong, just human nature.
