Is there a way to save a dual monitor desktop state ?

Hi all,

Got a fairly insignificant issue that drives me mad.

Scenario:

  • Dual monitors on a GeForce card
  • Re-Directed Desktop
  • Roaming profile

I disconnect my PC from the network by pulling the plug - or this morning updating a driver...

When it reconnects, my desktop icons all pile onto the main monitor and I lose my incredibly organised icon layout.

Anyone know of a way to save the state of the icon positions?

Cheers in advance :)

It's not exactly a smooth way, but saves manually doing it I found :)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\1\Desktop (ItemPosXYZ one)
