Digital eSignage

Hi all,

 

Looking for an alternative solution for some Digital eSignage. One of our schools uses Planet eStream which works wonderful, however it's too expensive for my primary school, as it's only got 1 TV in the reception area and they come back saying £1,000 for another license.

 

But I am currently using some old software which Sedao created a while back, it works "ok" but many features are old and outdated and doesn't let me do certain things to school ask me to do.

 

I'm look for a cheap solution if anyone knows a good company who they are with/have used for eSignage and I can get some prices off them (or open source)

If you use Google Apps - try the Chrome Sign Builder App (free) + Chromebit (£100 inc management licence)/Chromebox (£130 inc management licence) + TV/Monitor (depends on size you want). Gives you a very easy to use system that you can control from any device anywhere.

Any idea of budget? Do you already have the screen?

 

We have a screen with some basic signage software built-in. Nice option if you need to source a screen as well. Content can be uploaded locally from a USB stick.

Have you seen the new Sedeo Pico? web based and very easy to use

Using Xibo here, took a bit to get setup and I spent quite a bit of time trying to get the displays looking right for me. The end result however is very good with content from Twitter, BBC News and local weather along side school information via a powerpoint saved as a video.

We are using Xibo here aswell, good solution not to difficult to setup and easy to use once you get used to it and best of all, its free! Xibo Open Source Digital Signage | Open source multi-display managed digital signage

We use Chrome Sign Builder, but I know a few people on here use Rise Vision, which is also free.
