mulderite Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Howdy folks, I have a GTX780 and I have been recently experimenting with using Dynamic Super Resolution in games. I'm seeing if upping the resolution to 1440p on a 1080p TV with DSR smoothing set to 33% is nicer and more preferable than using normal 1080p with the driver's standard anti-aliasing (as opposed to it being switched off on DSR). As of this week I have tested the following games: Dirt Rally Far Cry 4 GTA IV GTA V Grid Autosport RAGE Surprisingly - and much to my delight - I'm finding that the performance hit of using DSR in all of these titles is negligible and that, to my own taste, there is a definite increase in visual fidelity in using DSR over traditional AA methods. If anything having that crispness in DSR is somewhat ruined by also using AA (as well as causing an FPS drop). I was just curious to see if others have at least dabbled with DSR or are using it fully? Are any of you using a combination of DSR smoothness AND AA? Thanks.
Domo Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 I haven't, but i might have a look at this when i get in tonight, it seems interesting and if it has minimal impact on performance i'm up for giving it a go.
