MarkB Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Just had a teacher in with a HP nx6325 where the catch release latch has broken (just the bit on the outside that you slide to open the laptop), I phoned HP to be told that they can't send the part out but they have to have it in to replace the entire screen unit. Although the technology department have injection molding kit they don't have the skills to make a copy of the part. Anyone know of any places where I'm likely to be able to get a replacement part?
EvLPhenom Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 we have had simalar problems with the NX6110 series. In the end we just removed the catch mechanism, this is done by removing the screen enclosure and "unhooking" a spring. any way you caould always try AA Computer Repairs Centre, if we have any problems with our laptops we usually send them there. they get the work done quickly and we have had great service of them recently. contact details: Web: http://www.uklaptoprepairs.co.uk Phone Number: 0871 789 2524 Ask for Gem Watson she usually helps you pretty good.
