Hi

We have been having problems with our account manager at dell and I was wondering if anyone knew a good account manager and would be willing to PM me there name and number.

We have bought some poweredge 1855 blades with the chassis but dell keep sending us the wrong bits we think and we cant acutally get it all wired up.

We have a US PDU and a APC 3000 and then the chassis and 3 blades. Anyone got any experience with dell or dell blades that I could speak to?

Cheers

Dell Changed our rep 3 months ago but I soon got rid of him as he was crap (got specs so wrong and quoted the wrong prices etc..). I did this by calling customer services with the list of things I was unhappy with and requesting my old rep back. 1 hour later email reply with changed contact details.. maybe worth a try

We have a Blade chassis with 6 1855 blades. Our order was done through the education department, but the quote was compiled by the enterprise team.

The PDU will probably has a 3 pin IEC connector? Is this the US PDU you are refering to (in which case its not us, but a different sort of socket). You will need an electrician I should think, we had to have a sufficient 32A 3 phase power supply put in. We also connected the ups to a cable with one of these on the end (should be hardwired, but decided with the electrician that this would be ok - ymmv).

You can't use normal sockets for the blade center, it needs the PDU to be connected to a sufficent power supply. PM me if you need somone to talk to :)
