WTD: Servers / Workstations for Hyper-V Testing

Hi all,

 

does anyone have any old servers / workstations that they need to get rid of willing to collect in the Southampton/Romsey/Eastleigh/Portsmouth area (don't need anything monstrous) im after a couple of boxes to do some hyper-v work on (more to learn some of the aspects of fail over clustering etc)

would be ideal to have 2 or more NICS in or at least have the ability to add more to it

 

so if you have anything suitable that was going to be scrapped etc please get in contact

I ran 4 old Dell Optiplex 760's with only 1 x 1GB NIC and 4GB RAM and Server 2012R2 installed. It actually surprisingly worked really well!

Not in your area though, so sorry!! :-(

even something like that would be better than nothing i assume that they had core 2 duo's in them?, the multi nic was more to do with experimentation.

Yes, they were Core2Duo's. We would have run multiple NICs, but they were USFF with no expansion slot.
