JoeBloggs Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 A fan has stopped working on a PC. I am trying to buy just the fan, not the whole heat sink but for some reason finding it difficult. Just needs to be a 80mm cpu fan 4 pin. Most seem to be only 3 pin. When I search 4 pin it is the massive old power 4 pin, rather than a cpu fan 4 pin! Any help much appreciated!
dry Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 In my experience the fourth pin is for speed control only and a 3 pin should work in a 4 pin socket- but only either on (full speed) or off.
