Hi there

I've noticed lots of files building up in the 'Recent' folder in the roaming profile. It seems to be some kind of folder called 'Files'. There's loads of shorcuts in there..

It makes logging on really slow.

We seem to have all the views switched on windows......but you can't browse to this folder ( if it is a folder ).

I can also see a couple of other of folders called 'AutomaticDestinations'.....you can browse to these - but it's this object 'Files' that contains all the little shorcuts.

Can anyone shed any light on this please? It's definitley causing our slow logons. What is this Files 'thing' if you can't see it?

Thanks

If you open command prompt and do a dir *.* in Recent you can see all the shortcuts. Why can't you see them in Explorer when you browse to them?

We discovered the command 'FORFILES' in command prompt which can be used to delete these files ( you can use this to delete cookies as well)......we are trying to script this so it just deletes these files older than 30 days with 'FORFILES'
