I thought i'd would put this out there to see if there were any alternatives to what i'm doing.

We have an OnPrem exchange server at the moment running Exchange2010 and a website which is just pages rather than a CMS or a purpose build site.

The site manager has asked me to see if we can do Online bookings for facilities which would mean an online calendar on our site for as little as possible. I thought about creating a google account for only the calendar part of this and host the calendar on our site where we can update the calendar from inside school and different facilities can be shown booked via different colours. We don't want organisers to make bookings on the calendar as they need to submit various forms to us before we can make the bookings.

I was wondering if i should be looking at anything else. Bear in mind we have O365 as a subdomain for students and don't have GAFE.

I have seen https://localendar.com/elsie but i guess google calendars can do all of this. Also, our Site staff can add appointments on their devices if need be.

I don't want to re-invent the wheel on this and want something simple.

I do something with Exchange and google calendar and a utility called gsync running on Outlook.

I also use catman to share calendar catagories between users.

The calendars are on my account which I share with the catagories, gsync syncs every 5 minutes or so to google (each category has a different calendar on google)

I over complicate it even more by syncing google to a Joomal site running a calendar module :)

Works well, I use it for our mini bus bookings

Our room booking is on MRBS which is ugly but works.
