mikes Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Hi I have had a few questions from my staff about the new Google User Agreement they need to abide by - it pops up a big chunk of Google Legaleze and says you must agree to this in order to continue using Google services. A few staff have phoned up refusing to agree to it, they say we should have agreed as a school. Has anyone else seen this? is there a cookie or something that can be set? at the moment I have said the users can decline if they no longer wish to use Youtube/Google etc, it is up to them.
woodham Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 did you ever get this sorted as its getting anoying here too especially since we wipe profiles on reeboot so all cookies go too
mikes Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Nah I haven't - we have profiles kept so now most users have already clicked through and have forgotten about it - it is only the few who don't have stored profiles (our assembly user etc) who have to click through it every time they go in... thanks Google
timlineuk Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Got it here too but annoyingly something about it is getting blocked! I think your taking the right approach to say it's up to the user. Oddly it seems to be quite hit and miss for us here, sometimes it pops up other times it doesn't. even if the user hasn't seen it before
