Sagima Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hi Do any of you know how to restrict a user to sending emailas only to other users and not to and distribution groups? even restricting sending to groups based on the number of members would be useful thanks Sagima
BigDes Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hi Sagima, If you open the distribution group properties, you can select approved senders under the 'delivery management' tab. You will be able to select individual users and groups. 1
rypowell Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hi Sagima, Are you using DirSync to sync your groups / users into O365 from local AD? If so the process is different to what @BigDes described. Regards Ryan
Sagima Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 I was hoping for something that didn't have me opening up the properties for 100 distribution groups and setting the allowed users when I really just want to stop one user for one week but otherwise carry on letting him email people as he needs to. Our exchange 2013 server is local - we only sync stuff to O365 so the staff/kids can get their free copies of office really (couple of other things)
dapaulio Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 On the user in question set the delivery option to restrict the maximum recipients the user can send too. Just set it to less than is in the distribution that he is spamming. 1
