Hi there,

Anybody know if it is possible in Word 2010/13 to create a Pie chart based on a table from within the Word document itself?

When I insert a chart it forces me out to an excel sub-window to enter my data. I don't want that part to happen - the data needs to come from the table that is already inside the Word Document.

I've googled this a bit but all the "answers" are about not using excel initially - they still tell you to enter the data into Excel when Word opens it

Thanks in advance

You can but it's a bit faff

Make your table, select the table (top left), click insert -> object -> Object -> Microsoft Graph Chart -> It'll add a chart with the data pre-filled from table

At top, Chart -> Chart Type -> Pie
