Dragon Naturally Speaking 13

Hi all,

 

I have been tasked with installing Dragon Naturally Speaking 13 on our network using the roaming user profiles so students can use the dictation on any PC they sit at.

 

I am having a read through the Admin Guide now and its MADNESS!!

 

Has anyone installed it this way with any tips or a step by step guide would be the best thing to ever happen ever!

We have several teachers that have it installed on their school laptop and that's annoying enough! Let alone having it on a network... Good luck is all I can say!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the admin guide to this software is more complex than 'A Brief History of Time' - clear as mud!!

 

I thought I had it, but then the roaming settings did not apply...

 

Did you get anywhere with this?

We've got it setup but ended up installing it manually and setting the profile to a shared drive on the network. It seems to be happy, the only thing I suppose is anyone can mess up anyone else's profile if they re-record the levels but haven't seen that yet.

Thats exactly the method I did too in the end

I managed to deploy the software using SCCM at a former site but still had to check and setup the profiles to point at the network as these only had about a 50% success rate.

 

The flags were case sensative if memory serves and you had to use full UNC paths rather than drive letters when referring to config files. Absolute nightmare.
