A woman in Australia was sitting at the edge of a creek when a seven-foot crocodile lunged out and tore her arm off.

 

The woman was rushed to hospital after she was found walking along a road with part of her arm below her elbow missing...

 

After the attack she was found by a motorist but refused a lift, not wanting to get blood on the car. The authorities found the crocodile that attacked her, destroyed it humanely, and retrieved here arm. Doctors will now re-attach it.

To retrieve here arm and because it had attacked someone in an area [frequently?] used by people and pets.
