Dos_Box Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I can't remember how to do this so any help would be nice. We are going to have mail forwarded to our exchange server for the first time. Previously I only used our server for backup purposes, but now we are to use it as our primary mail server. The issue is this. Our network mail addresses are arranged as so: [email protected] but our staffs 'real' email address is [email protected]. I have set up under the users properties their 'real' email as being the default SMTP one, but where do I set it on the Exchange Server, and what syntax is it again? It's been a while since I did this last.
Ric_ Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 wot you after doing? You can set up a recipient policy that will give the users additional email addresses - check your CASA docs! [Exchange System Manager -> Recipients -> Recipient Policies -> New Policy (E-Mail Addresses) -> Email Addresses -> New -> SMTP Address]
Dos_Box Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 Our users current mail addresses differ form those generated by exchange. I want to ensure that their mail is delivered correctly.
chrisg Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 have a look at http://www.edugeek.net/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=566

Dos_Box Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 I was just looking at the computerperformance one
Ric_ Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 @Dos_Box: That's only what I said but with the variable-names that you need - I thought I did well remembering all that off the top of my head! (he lies convincingly).
