Michael Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Hello all, I have a mystery on my hands I hope someone can explain - Staff user has managed to enable Tablet mode (a full screen Start Menu), despite the Action Centre (bottom right) being disabled. Is there a keyboard shortcut, as Googling it doesn't reveal any and I've tried all common combinations. Control Panel and Settings are also disabled, so you can't access it this way either. Classic Shell is now deployed which replaced the Windows 10 Start, but even on this, I've disabled the option to return back to the Windows 10 Start. Any ideas would be much appreciated
Michael Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 In the end I managed to resolve this issue by temporarily moving the user to an OU/GPO where the Action Centre is visible, switch Tablet Mode off, then move them back to their original OU/GPO where all is well. I still haven't found any shortcut keys to this, and it's only affected one user out of the hundreds I support... so hopefully it's a one off. It certainly created some confusion! 1
LeightonJames Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 A quick google found this method of doing it - How to Enable or Disable Tablet Mode in Windows 10 Longshot but they may have done it this way.

Thanks - but all methods described on that page are blocked/restricted/hidden by Group Policy on the networks I support. This is why I've come to the conclusion there may be a shortcut key combination which was accidentally pressed.
