Facility CMIS server malfunction

Our old Facility CMIS server has malfunctioned. I need to create a new CMIS server. I have the SQL database backup how would I go about performing this?

I think you are going to need your database, your doc storage backup and the current release files, together with SQL server installation media.

What is the doc storage backup?

Assuming you use document storage (you may not) there is a folder where all the pdf's are stored. Were there any file shares off your facility server or was it database only with the client installed on the workstations?

There was a share to the t:/ we never used doc storage

Hi there,

At the moment, our support desk is shut down for Christmas, open again on the 4th. I can understand though you may need support to get this up and running again before the 4th if that's when everyone returns.

I failed get a server with server 2008 and sql server do I just create a new database on the SQL management console. Do you have any guidance and a link of where I can download the Facility Software.

I hope you have backups made from inside of Facility as restoring SQL backups is always fun (not). If you have customised eportal you will need to restore this folder and also your config ini files otherwise you will have quite a bit of tweaking to do.
