SLG Form login to avoid pop up prompt picking up local machine name?

Hello,

When logging into SLG on a non-school machine using Internet Explorer we an issue where login fails because it is attempting to log in using local computer domain e.g. LOCALPC\User.Name.

 

This can be resolved by getting the user to enter OURDOMAIN\User.Name or User.Name@OURDOMAIN but it's more complex than I'd like (especially as they can't do this for our other systems!)

 

Is there a way to resolve this?

 

We also found the password will not work if it's pasted in by going Right Click and Paste, but it will work if you use Ctrl and V. Also, some parents press Cancel and then get left with a blank screen, which confuses them!

 

I wondered if there was an easy way to turn on form-based logon, like a regular website, rather than having the pop up.
