DJ-1701 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) I'm looking for a SmartBoard power adapter, model 60-00056-20 or compatible for the SBX880/SBX885 series board. Did order from Insight as we have previously, which didn't have any in stock, but ordered upon request. Unfortunately, a month later and they still are unable to get the part . Other providers don't have any stock, and don't have a due date when they will have some. If anyone know where I can find one, it would be most appreciated . Edited December 9, 2015 by DJ-1701
DJ-1701 Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 A compatible we have had before is a Top Microsystems Model: A050020EE1 SM Rev. A P/N: ZDA050200 Looks like it's a sourcing issue, as the new expected date is sometime in April .
TommyCooper Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 The PSU is a 5 volt, 2 amp supply with a centre-positive connection to the board. Any replacement PSU that has the right connector and meets those specs should be suitable. 1

No official measurements of the connector, so makes it hard to search or query.
DJ-1701 Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 If anyone else has this issue, I have found out that SmartTech have updated their documentation on the board... http://downloads01.smarttech.com/media/sitecore/en/support/partsdiagrams/sbx8_partsdiagrams_28sep15.pdf Short and sweet of it is they now state the adapter part needed is model 1013652, which appears to require a C8 power lead. Found a website (lambda-tek) that states they have this in stock, so hopefully *touch wood* once ordered it will be delivered.
J_M_C Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Hi, I signed up specifically to post on this. After much searching and argument with SMART Tech about this. They wanted to charge $77 Canadian Dollars for delivery per power supply needed on top of the $35 price of the unit. If you are in Australia you can get a working unit from the following website. It may also help others find a matching adapter. Power Supply Adaptor - 5V DC 2A - 3.5mm x 1.35mm Plug Tip | Space Hi-Fi Hope this helps. Never buying SMART products again.
GabeB Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Hi I also signed up to post on this. The local service provider for Interactive Smart Boards was not very helpful. I did hover find a solution that was cheap and easy. https://www.jaycar.com.au/5v-dc-3a-slim-power-supply-7dc-plugs/p/MP3480 [h=1]5V DC 3A Slim Power Supply 7DC Plugs works fine .[/h] The 2nd smallest plug works even thought it looks like the centre is too big it works fine. cost was $24.95
robintech Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 Just to resurrect this I've found it is 5 Volt 2 Amp center positive 3.5mm x 1.35 mm (maybe 3.5mm x 1.40mm would also work)
