VLS 3.50 Laser Cutter

Hi,

 

We have started having issues with our laser cutter, all of a sudden it started going doolaly and not lasering. When a new job is sent to the laser cutter now it says on the software 'homing' then 'pause' then 'homing' and continues in a loop. The device moves horizontally about 6 inch then back as it cycles through the commands.

 

I have reinstalled the software, updated it and replaced the USB cable... and tried a different machine but its doing the same on each one so I am thinking its the laser cutter itself. Its been turned off for 10 minutes too.

 

Anyone seen this issue? We haven't had it serviced few yonks so probably could do with that too.. can anyone suggest a company to do this?

We had a similar issue with our cutter a few months back and I had tried the same things but dismissed a full calibration. I did one after talking to Denford who supplied the device and it did the trick for us. Might be nothing but worth a try? ive got a PDF of the guide they sent which I followed to the letter if needed.

Booked a service, the alignment isn't working even after several attempts so best get them out.
