ful56_uk Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Evening all, Working in a secondary school and we are looking to start to supporting some of our primary schools in the area. Does anyone have an sla which I could use as a starting block for creating our own? Many thanks
Meldrew Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I would check that you are allowed to form an SLA. We support primary schools with ICT support, but when we took out legal advice, we were not allowed to provide an SLA, just a memorandum of understanding. Meldrew.

Why wouldn't you be allowed to provide an SLA?

Do you offer services like interactive whiteboards/TV install and projector install or do you just keep to the network side of things?
sippo Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 No we don't. We will provide the quote, but there is too much risk for us to do it. For the sake of a few hundred pounds, it's easier to get someone else to do it.

synaesthesia Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Similarly we support a few primaries and indeed provide an "SLA" - or contract of terms. We generally don't do anything that alters the fabric of the building. 1

The SLA deals with mainly visits, and requests. When a school requests for new hardware, such as PC's/tablets/projectors we provide them with a quote and they then do the rest (as in ordering). 1
