exchange server 2003 move mailboxes

Hi all i just installed a second exchange2003 server as the first one is running low on space,(is this the best method???) all went ok i managed to move some mailboxes no problem and internally everything works great, my problem is that if i try and access webmail externally it fails for all those mailboxes on the new server? the users on the mail server still work ok.

 

I think it may be something to do with the new server not having direct internet access through our county firewall but i was under the impression mail would be delivered via the first server with some sort of pass through?

 

i'm reluctant to ask for more servers to be accesible from the net but don't what else i need to do.

 

Any advice as always is appreciated.

I have just been informed i needed to run domain prep on the second install even though it said during install that if i already have an exchange server on the domain i didn't need to can anyone confirm either i do or don't? it would make sense why i'm having the problems.
