Whiteboard issues

Hi, in school I use a promethean whiteboard. My pen will not work on it. I have tried other pens but they do not work either. Any ideas what I need to do or could try??

have you checked the power supply? does your computer/laptops recognise the board? Is the cable from board to computer actually connected?
