alfatec Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Hi, Has anybody worked out how to disable or amend the Power Users Menu when you right click on the start menu? Cheers
rypowell Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 There's a folder called winx somewhere in the local profile of each user (in the appdata directory, I think roaming/Microsoft/Windows if memory serves). There's a very good freeware tool for editing this menu: Win+X Menu Editor for Windows 8 - Google WinX editor - but I've not found a way yet of making sure this is the default options for new users (other than copying a template profile into the default users profile on each PC). Nor can we add/change shortcuts once the user profile has been created. We don't use roaming profiles and don't clear cached profiles - other than in annual maintenance periods.
3s-gtech Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 You can copy files into local profiles at logon using GPP - we do so. Obviously, it's easy using mandatory profiles.
