JATSO Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Came in this morning and logged in as the test pupil which has always worked and was immediately logged off, tested a few accounts and its the same for the teachers accounts although they never login to the domain. No Group policies running. Fortunately teacher use their laptops which don't use the domain except for DHCP,DNS and file storage. Any ideas out there. Thanks
Steve21 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 What's it say in event logs on client/DC? Can you log into DC/client with admin? When you say no GP does that include user profiles? As could be corrupt profile if you're using mandatory etc Steve
JATSO Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Well this error appears in the DC event log for DNS Event Type: Error Event Source: DNS Event Category: None Event ID: 4007 Date: 27/11/2015 Time: 10:49:16 User: N/A Computer: Description: The DNS server was unable to open zone XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX in the Active Directory from the application directory partition ForestDnsZones.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload the zone. The event data is the error code. Yes no group policies applied to users at all removed them and never had any for the teachers anyway. I can login on the server as admin. Uses roaming profiles. Thanks
