ryanplym Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Hi I found this online: RAG3HACK Apparently, if you pop that address into your safari web browser (ignore the ads and scroll down about half way) you can choose to disable certain features such as the settings menu which would solve 99% of all my iPad issues when it comes to students setting their own passcodes. Our devices are managed by Meraki but when a student decides to disable WIFI and sets a random passcode this only leaves us with one option to wipe the entire device and start again - This isnt practical when you need to do this several times a day. Although I am hoping someone maybe able to help. Although when I choose to download the file I am prompted with the following error: "Cannot install applications because the certificate for cydiahacks.com is not valid" Have I just hit another dead end? Thanks in advance.
Domino Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Hey, I just had a look at the thing you mention, from my reading it doesn't look like the settings remain after a reboot anyway, so not sure it's the right fit for what you're after in any case
Bev Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 You can stop them adding a passcode if they are supervised. I have the wifi details in a profile, but it looks like they can still change them which isn't great ;(
