clareq Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I'm trying to load Windows 10 on a hyper-v VM - I've done so successfully in the past. However, this time I'm seeing the attached every time I build it - even if I fully wipe the disk before loading. Any ideas?
DJ-1701 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Silly question, what are you using to build it? ISO/DVD, WDS, MDT, SCCM? Also at which point do you get that?
clareq Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 ISO - I get as far as Settings, it doesn't matter whether I accept defaults, or refuse to send anything to Microsoft, it says please wait, then starts as the image. If I restart it it does the same.

clareq Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 I've tried two different ISO downloads, both do the same. It's the LTSB version, original release. I built the machine I'm typing on now from a disk cut from the same ISO, as well as a previous VM on hyper-v. I think I'll wipe it completely tomorrow, delete the disk and create a brand new VM. I'll probably download a new ISO as well.
Boredguy Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Have you tried using a normal CB version instead of LTSB?
clareq Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 The host is 2012R2. We've decided to use the LTSB I think (No apps and I'm a bit of a control freak )
clareq Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 It's happening again. It seems every time I try and create a new VM of Windows 10 I have to try 3 or 4 times before I can get a working version. if I restart the machine with the blank screen I get to a logon screen with defaultuser0 as the username, but I can't get any further.
kidpressingbuttons Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 having this same issue now- did you get any further with this?
