Low Cost Mifare Locks

Hi All,

 

I am currently working on a plan to get our staff ID cards moved from a very 'antique' laminated piece of card to an RFID card, along with replacing a biometric door lock on our main building - with the intention of replacing the entire school's door locks. I have hit a bit of a wall in regards to the powers that be for money with the cost to replace each door - im being quoted £250 per lock - Are there a more cost effective alternative?

 

We were quoted for Salto and Paxton so far.... 1x wall mounted 'online' lock and 4x cylinder replacement, battery powered - Not 'online' locks as they made the costs jump a bit!

 

 

Any help would be great

Have a look at ACT. Access Control | Access Control Systems | Access Control Technology I used to have this system in my old school, but the costs are pretty much the same, £500 for fixed lock, £250 for wireless handle (not including Wireless control unit)
