Deleting Target grades in SIMS

Hi

 

I was wondering if any of you in the know can tell me if this can be done?? I have tried deleting them off of the target setting sheet and within the mark sheet for the actual subject. I save it and when i go back in it's still there. It's hugely frustrating!

 

If anyone has the answer even if it's a simple 'You can't...live with it' answer i'd be very grateful.

There are two ways to do it:

 

- on the marksheet, right click the result and select 'View/Edit Result History', then select the result to delete and click the red 'X'

- to delete a range of results, go to 'Tools > Performance > Assessment > System Utilities > Results', select 'Delete a selection of Results' then carefully follow the wizard to delete the results in question

To remove the grades "properly" so they don't come back you need to right click on the cell, select "View/Edit Result history". Then highlight the row with the incorrect grade and click the red X that becomes active on the right hand side of the dialogue box. Downside to this is that it is about 5 clicks to remove each grade. Fine for the odd one entered incorrectly but not for stripping out a big batch of data that went wrong. To "properly" delete results for more than one student you're best going to Tools|Performance|Assessment|System Utilities|Results then following through the wizard to delete them.

Thank you I'll give those a go!! Concerned about deleting results as am worried it'll delete all subject results for the student??

Just be careful you get the right result when using View/Edit Marks as it shows every result for that student in that aspect.

That's sound advice and exactly why I was worried about touching the thing!!! All fine in the end
