WDS Deplyment Error in server 2012 R2

Hello Teches,

 

Installed WDS and MDT 2012 to deploy Image in my laptop setup (Image is the customized one), When started booting PXE mode and gave the path for the deployment share and credentials as well.

I am trying to deploy an LiteTouch OS image created by WDS's capture image. However, I keep getting some errors on the Install OS task:

 

The network path was not found. (spammed about 8 times)

 

ERROR - Unable to map a network drive to \\Server\REMINST.

 

FAILURE ( 5640 ): False Verify file \\Server\Images\Windows 7\BaseCFG.wim

 

Litetouch deployment failed, Return Code = -2147467259 0x80004005

 

Unknown Error (Error 00001608, Source Unknown)

 

Anyone know what this error is?

 

 

I Checked the share on my WDS server, and it's indeed shared. Is there any specific permissions that need to be set for this?

 

WDS, MDT 2012 & DHCP are in same server.

Are you sure the NICs are being picked up correctly in WinPE, even if it gets an IP in PXE it can get into PE and fail to get a DHCP lease either because of dodgy or simply non existent drivers.

 

Try pressing F8 once in PE it should bring up a command prompt where you can run ipconfig and other commands to see if you can ping default gateways and do simple network tests to begin with.
