Just picked myself one of these up from CPC for £15

apparently you can attach it to the raspberry pi and stuff... might be interesting to get kids into coding.

Had a play with one last week, but after spending some time writing a simple program and saving it it didn't seem to want to download the program again.

Yeah what I've found is that the program downloads to the computer and unless you have a battery in, it won't save to the codebug... I think the memory on it is more like RAM than flash.

 

I've just stuck some croc clips on it and got it naming the colour of the ones I touch!

I saved it to a network share in anticipation of that, but copying the program to an attached bug didn't seem to work. May have done something wrong, though.

 

Mine reacted to button presses with with "Ouch!" or "Tickles!" and then "got bored" after x presses and turned off.

Nice! Hahahah. I've done a heart beat animation too. Don't know how much the kids will get out of it before they get bored though.

Codebug is great but a bit finicky to download and install progs.

 

it has just got support for the generic RGB leds knon as NeoPixels so it can be used for a lot of bling projects

 

I've got Scratch talking to it of course
