Yeah sorry it just popped into my head that there are issues using the old DirSync rather than AD connect.

Funnily enough I can't run the Synchronisation Service Manager, says the service is not running!?

Though we have a scheduled task enabled to sync every night.

I got it working about 15:30 but had to dash off. I ran the task in task scheduler and i got a dll error on the office365 domain but then everything else seemed

to be ok. I gave it a go on office365 and low and behold, it worked. I tried that many things and i seem to think the sync worked.

Have you made sure the user you are logging into the server as is a member of the local security group MIISAdmins? Thats what MS state, however have you also made sure that he same user is a member of ADSyncAdmins? Now i dont have MIISAdmins group in my local user manager on the server.

I was going to ask how long it takes a sync between setting a pw and the sync to take place and it seems to me that its about 2 mins and i dont have to force it, it seems to just work, so i guess the synchronization sevice manager is there so you can configure what OUs need to be sync'd.
