One of my head wants to send an email to other heads but not have all the contact shown in the To: header

Just wants each head to see their own address

lets not ask why :)

if this possible using Office 365?

Online yeah?

New email, 3 dots icon, show bcc

add all email addresses in there, they won't see each other.

I'm not sure if o365 will let you send without a to, but if it won't, just get him to stick his own email in the to.

Blind Carbon Copy FTW!

Can't they just use BCC? Or does it have to show their address?

They want it to look personalised :)

If so would need mail merge etc

Hadn't thought of that - will give it a go

Damm close :)

It lets you send but no address appears in the to:

They want the receipents address in there

Has to be mail merge then I'd say, as that's effectively separate emails, not one.

Seems long way of doing it though :p Rather than just using BCC.

Could always cheat and use a "Headteacher" email address as your To (which is really a local one), and then BCC everyone so it looks like it's to them? :D

Then your only option is to merge and create individual emails. seems a lot of work for essentially cosmetic reasons.

Turns out you can use any email address - even fictional one in the to: field and it'll still send to BCC receipients so I'm going to try suggesting that they use something like

To: [email protected]

Ok - next hurdle

How do I use cloud Office 365 contacts list as source for mail merge from Word 2013?

(It would be easier for me to go to the school and type in the addresses one at a time!)
