Research on Broadband and Filtering

Hello All,

 

I work for a school improvement organisation, London Connected Learning Centre. We are currently working on a feasibility study into a nation-wide learning project for a major cultural organisation.

 

Part of our research is into the state of broadband and filtering across the country (Average speeds, rural availability, connection types (fttp, fttc, etm etc). As a starting point we have broken our research up into the regions of the country covered by the Regional Broadband Consortia.

 

We have been informed that WMnet doesn't actually provide or procure broadband connectivity any longer and that this is now left up to the local authorities, on an individual basis, within the region, to work with their partners to supply Broadband and filtering to schools.

 

Are there any network managers or technicians here that would have a bit of time to talk to us and give as an indication of their broadband, filtering and virtual learning options within the area, and for us to potentially use your school as a case study.
